The weather cleared for a few days, so we hit the pool and beach. Beckett hopped on a bike and took off withOUT training wheels. Unfortunately I wasn't there (or I would have TAKEN PICTURES!). Roger said he just hopped on, pedaled and there was no turning back. YEA Beckett!
So, once again, these are incredibly out of order. So, here are all the photos taken during our trip, in no particular order.
Kids looking up at a few kites flying.
Catholic chapel at an old Spanish fort we visited on our way home.
Kids digging in the sand - still loving their trucks.
The front of the chapel. Such a cool stop.
Kids exploring the fort. Check out the massive doors!
Headed out to the walls and battle stations!
Inside the chapel
Checking out the cannon. Beckett was explaining how cannons work - where you put the matches, where the wick is. He was fascinated.
Not sure you can read this - but this is the plaque in the chapel.
More cannons
Funny story. While Macie was eating her peanut butter and jelly sandwich a seagull swooped in and took what remained before she could finish her bite. Her finger even got nipped a bit by the seagulls beak. So, when the kids sat down to eat their sandwiches, we told them to hide their food and take careful bites. Here Beckett is hunched over his food and Grant is stink eyeing all the gulls in the area. :-)
Trying to get a good brother photo was very difficult this day.
Love this. Hauling all their stuff to the beach.
YAY! They were SO EXCITED to finally be at the beach and ready to go!
We also went and flew kites one day. First time for both the boys and they did great! It was a very windy day and we had good kites. Went up without much trouble and stayed up.
Macie helping Beckett keep the kite up.
Beckett being sassy in his tree. Not sure where he learned this but, once again, he cracks me up! :-)
"It's too hard." i.e. - I am really tired.
Love this one.
Another fav from the trip.
Such a goof ball.
Finally hit the pool. It's been awhile. Beckett actually sank to the bottom at first. :-)
Grant's reading has just taken off recently. He read to Macie every night. Not sure which book this is, but he picked up Frog and Toad as well as Nate the Great. He did stumble on a word here and there, but for the most part had no trouble.
Beck and Macie cuddling while Grant reads.
They found a baby tarantula.
Cap and Grant reading Calvin and Hobbes.
Macie's hand for size.
Video from the trip. First part is a parade the kids put together featuring their Capsella creations. The second is flying kites. :-)
