Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Father's Day Roger!

Today we packed up the kids, dog and bikes and explored a new trail in Georgetown. Ended up being quite the hike to Georgetown Lake/Dam. I'm sure the 90 degree sunshine made it feel a lot longer.  We were counting on a bit of a cool down once we got to the lake. Unfortunately the lake was down too far and climbing out of the water would have been too difficult. Maybe next time we can find a better way to get in.

We also made a quick video for Cap. Happy Fathers day to you too!

So Long Kindergarten...1st Grade, Here I Come!

School's out for the summer!!!

Friday was Grant's last day of Kinder. I am so amazed by all that he learned this year. He truly loved every minute of it.

His class visited with first graders and had the chance to ask them questions. Grant's questions - Is it fun? Will it be challenging? He has such a love of learning - I hope it never goes away.

First day of school vs. last day of school. Sigh

Ready for BIG changes - check out Beckett's! He looked like such a baby at the beginning of the year! :-( Now....sigh, he's a little boy.

First day of school vs. last day of school

Last day of pick up - of course we need to bring a monster truck and....black dog. :-)

My handsome guy - just like daddy!

To celebrate the last day, we picked up Subway and hit the park for a picnic and a little bike riding.

Riley girl cooling off before chasing the ball again.

That afternoon we went over to a friends' house. Every week we go over and have "Freaky Friday." I am sure I have talked about it before. A really wonderful group - about 5 or 6 families that play every Friday afternoon. This week we decided to make it into a party, complete with inflatable water slides, squirt guns and hot dogs! :-)

Grant reloading and ready to hit the slide again.

Beckett getting ready to squirt me.

Here are the boys. I was completely drenched in the process of getting these pictures. Luckily I have a waterproof cover on my phone/camera!

Mom - take my picture!

The kids all sitting down for hot dogs. My boys are off on the left...out of the pic.

Our Last Lunch with Grant

So Wednesday was our last lunch with Grant for this year. :-(  We decided to do it up right and brought Sonic! That afternoon was Grant's End of Year celebration - a mini-performance and then splash day!

I love this picture - so glad, that in some ways, he's still a little boy.

Goofy pic courtesy Beckett the photog.

Not the greatest, but it's what we got.

End of Year performance. The little girl in front of Grant cracks me up! She looks like this in every picture I took. She's such a cutie, but for some reason would not smile for this pic!

 Ready for splash day!

This is Jud and Grant. They are great friends and yes, he drenched me with this picture.

Wow - look how wet she got.

 Hee Hee Hee

Think we can do it again? Hee hee hee

See his shoe in the bottom left corner? He totally bit it on this one and his show flew off his foot. Wish I had videoed this one - classic Slip and Slide.

Beckett is 5!

I can't believe it - Beckett is 5. Beckett is going into Kindergarten in the fall. I know everyone says this, but where did all the time go? Weren't we just moving from Alaska to San Antonio?

He is very proud of being 5. He tells everyone "Now I am 5." We planned quite the day for him. It started on Sunday when he opened Macie and Cap's presents. On Monday I had to go into the preschool for a bit and then we had a party for him at our neighborhood amenity center/pool...complete with light sabers, pizza and cake. Then when we got home, he opened family gifts. Jam packed day...I think we are still finding presents he forgot he received. :-)

 LEGO!

LEGO Star Wars book from Costco. One of the first things Beckett said to Cap when they got here was "Did you know there is a LEGO Star Wars book at Costco?" Even at 5 he knows how to hint about presents. :-)

His get up for our birthday trip to school

 How old are you?

Decorations at Beckett's party - complete with the Death Star, stormtrooper balloons and light sabers

Love the figures holding up the candles - thank you Pinterest!

Grant's gifts to Beckett - Hulk disk thrower and a tiger monster truck.

Thanks Grandma and Papa for the great singing card!

 Old school Transformers! Thanks Dad!

 Old school Star Wars ships!!

Beckett's final gift was...... I am happy to say he was much more excited about it the next day when he actually got to try it out. :-)

Beckett Graduates

Preschool graduation...who thought it would ever come to this? But I have to say, Beckett was so excited about his performance I will never doubt it again.

Of course Black Dog can come too... he went with you everyday so why not graduation? :-)
I think Beckett was nervous. Macie had to come and grab him out of my classroom before the show started, otherwise he would have been on stage too.

These videos crack me up. Beckett and his bows....he was very proud of his performance. :-)

Visit with Macie And Cap

Macie and Cap came to visit and help out while Roger went to Alaska to check on our condo and visit his family. Thank you so much for coming! With these 2, I can use all the extra hands I can get. :-)

Grant the helper at school. :-)

Grant had an end of the year conference with me. Showed me all of his work, complete with a slide show on the computer. See that giant folder next to him? It's full of journals, art and various work. He did such a great job - so very proud.
