Swim Pics

Here are some various swim photos from our swim meets...

All the kids bring electronics to the meets to help pass the time...my boys think I am a horrible mom because I won't let them bring anything. :-)

Beckett ready to go

Tightening goggles before diving in...

Waiting for his relay to start....looking oh so cool and confident

Watching the 3rd leg of his relay

Here is a video of Beckett's races. The first is a relay. Then he swims freestyle and finally backstroke.

Here is video of Grant. There are 5 races total. The first is a relay. The next 3 are individual. Then the last is another relay.

Scary Storms

On Memorial Day, a large front full of scary storms rolled through. It was the first time we had to take shelter since arriving in Texas.  We tried to keep it light with the kids but inside I was freaking out...

 Riley is prepared!

Beckett brought the iPad
 Grant stayed in his boxers...

Some of the rain pouring off our roof.

Now we have on our helmets - there was a tornado about 5 miles from the house. :-(  And, of course, black dog took shelter too....

Quick Trip to San Antonio

Before Roger's ankle surgery, we decided to take a quick trip to San Antonio Zoo. It's such a beautiful zoo, nestled in a really nice park. There were HUGE storms that morning, so we were pretty much the only ones there - YAY!

This lizard followed Beckett across the glass. It was pretty funny - so he decided to stop and have a little conversation. :-)

This was a poster outside the gibbon exhibit. Doesn't it look JUST LIKE Beckett at that age? Crazy!

This little kitty was not happy about getting wet and was letting Beckett know....HISS

 Love the hippos!

 Grant found his zebras!

Ride on the new carousel. It's beautiful.

Goofy Trip to Costco

On some days, this is what I get when I say get dressed - we need to go to Costco

Notice the purple bow tie and the blue water shoes...never a dull moment

Field Day

We have had the craziest weather lately. More rain than we have seen in years. Thunderstorms cancelled Kinder field trip and then also Field Day. Luckily the school rescheduled both and, on Field Day, it only sprinkled on the kids. :-) Unfortunately I was not able to make it to field day so I only have pics of Beckett - thanks to a friend. But it gives you an idea of what the school did. It was way more than I ever remember field day being!

Mother's Day Weekend

Macie and Cap came to visit for Mother's Day weekend. Grant played in a big soccer tournament with the Academy teams, dinner at a great restaurant, and nice tea with Grant. Not a bad way to celebrate.

Teams from all over Texas came in for the soccer tournament and in an effort to recruit more players, Georgetown allowed kids to sign up for free. Grant was over the moon excited. It was really fun to watch and we are looking forward to the fall.

The 1st grade classes hosted a wonderful Mother's Tea, complete with handmade crafts and a small breakfast, all served by Grant. It was truly touching and something I will always remember.

 Don't you love my crown?
We are so proud of Beckett. His reading has finally clicked and he is off and running. Way to go Beckaboo!

Cap showing some kind of technology to Grant. Love his expression

For Mother's Day we tried to get a nice picture of me with the boys.......

In the end, selfies worked best!

Macie and Grant waiting for our table.

Grant dressed as the first goalie for the tournament. He was SO EXCITED!! It's his favorite position.

Not sure that's a soccer move, but it's definitely a dance move. :-)

 Good Game, Good Game.....

Beckett's Field Trip

After a rain cancellation, the Kindergarteners finally headed out for their strawberry field trip! Luckily it was a cloudy day - last year it was horribly hot when I went with Grant.

All smiles and ready to go!

 Beckett, Breely, and Everett

And now goofball Beckett - the whole class cracked up at this.

All 20 of them! I love that B is almost as tall as his teacher. :-)

 Beckett and Liam

 Jacob, Liam and Beckett

And, of course, you have to stop for the greatest snow cones ever afterwards! LOVE Bahama Bucks!
