Science!

In recent weeks, Grant has become obsessed with science. Every day he asks to do some experiment or another. I got tired of him making random concoctions - water, tape, baking soda and honey was my favorite. So today we did one that I knew they would like.

As you will see, we start with a plate and I quickly realize that we need something bigger. Nothing like baking soda, vinegar and food coloring! Grant was in heaven - I think Beckett was pretty entertained as well. Unfortunately he got baking soda in his syringe and then shot it all over the kitchen...of course.

A few more pictures

Here are a few random pics from the last month or so.

Grant lost another tooth! The top 2 are also loose now.

Riley making herself at home outside. The ground is a bit cold so she has taken to the patio furniture.

The kids watching a show, in their boxers, and sharing a chair. So cute. :-)

We made rocket ships out of boxes today and they took a break to watch a show.

T-Ball!

Each session at the YMCA, we ask the kids what sport they want to try. This session Beckett is taking a class that exposes him to 4 different sports - soccer, basketball, football and baseball. Grant was desperate to play baseball. Lucky for him, there is an indoor league for 4 & 5 year olds. Monday was our first class and I haven't ever seen him so excited. He had his shoes and jacket out by the middle of the afternoon and kept reminding me that we needed to eat early because "I have baseball class tonight."

And here is one of the reasons that we love our Y - I asked the man running the event if Beckett could play (he's not 3 yet so technically not old enough). He encouraged me to put him in. When I mentioned he wasn't there, he took down Beckett's name, his shirt size and said we could bring him in next time - FOR FREE! Love Fishers! Love our Y!

And now, apparently, we love t-ball. :-(

Disney on Ice

We came upon a great deal to Disney on Ice so the kids and I headed down to check it out. They enjoyed the Cars and Toy Story 3 sections. Unfortunately Tinkerbell was horribly long and, well horrible. And Little Mermaid isn't our favorite. All in all, I am glad we went, but I don't think we will go again.

Here are some pics of their faces though. :-)

We Found A New One!

This day was exceptionally warm - our weather has been ALL OVER the place. As you will see at the end of the video - we end it with a climb on a snow pile. :-)

But today was great and so we went in search of something new. And low and behold - we found a park we hadn't explored yet! This was a GREAT climbing park and the kids (and adults) had a great time. Riley was able to run and run and run...a great day. And now, back to the arctic temps. Sigh....

Grant and Roger on the rockin platforms.

Another rocking platform - this one was kind of like a teeter-totter

School Days

Here are some pictures from the last month or so. Sometimes the boys just look so handsome that I have to take a quick pic. As Grant says, we are a couple of handsome boys! :-)

Each week has a different theme - the theme this week was superheroes. Love Grant's mask and cape!

View of the decorations on the back. :-)

Beckett the lounge singer - love the serenading from the back seat!

On this morning Grant got himself dressed. Yep, he picked this out and was so proud - especially of the slicked down hair! :-)

Trying to get a better smile

The kids modeling their new clothes - thanks Macie!
And this week was Pirate week! AARRR!

Train Station at the Museum

We went to the museum at the beginning of January...the school district's first day back so the museum was completely empty! It was amazing. We had several of the exhibits all to ourselves. So nice.

Here is a video from the train station. This exhibit is usually packed with little boys, so we don't play too often. Today, no one. The kids were so happy to stamp tickets and lead me onto the train. So fun. :-)

We also went to a movie at the planetarium and then ended the day with the National Geographic exhibit. Very fun and exhausting day.

This is a dress up area outside the theater. Today the kids were police officers. :-)
