Diego, Wheelbarrows, and A Carousel

We LOVE our Children's Museum! We go frequently (at least 2 times a month) and we always have a great time. Whether it's the Dora and Diego exhibit, the construction area, or the ice cream parlor, Grant and Beckett jump right in and find a new way to enjoy the museum.

Outside the museum are concrete replicas of some of the "Wonders of the World." G&B of course loved running their cars all over them! :-)

 Beckett planting some flowers.

Trying to build a dam with rocks and logs.

Grant directing some boats at one of the HUGE water tables.

Heading out to get some lunch. Another great day!

Revving up the lawn mowers for another lawn mower race.

Yep, the engine is checked out and she's ready to go.

Busy Busy Day

Yesterday afternoon I called my mom and asked what she was up to. "Oh not much, we are enjoying a SLOW day in Rockport. What have you been up to?" Well, yesterday was a busy day for us. Before lunch we went to the Farmers Market, a park, and got the kids' hair cut. We are heading to Texas this week...I sure hope Macie and Cap are ready for us! :-) We are busy busy busy!

Last night we went to a festival called The Taste of Fishers. Several local restaurants had samples of their food for sale and there was a large kids area with bounce houses and vendors handing out all sorts of free stuff (that's the kids favorite part! :-) Unfortunately it was incredibly hot (over 90 with lots of humidity.) I think that everyone had fun though and there was lots of good food had by all!

The local John Deere company had a large tractor set up with a sprinkler system! Very fun and very Indiana!

 More cooling off

Beckett in one of the Bounce Houses. He has really figured out how to jump with both feet! He was definitely utilizing the "bounce" to get higher and higher.

Grant coming down one of the slides.

Notice the tongue action. He does it all the time now - especially when he's concentrating.

 Nice sideways slide Beck-a-Boo!

Hold Hands

We went to the mall over the weekend so that the kids could run around in the play area. As we were walking in, I heard Beckett say - "hold hands." So cute! I tried to get a picture of Roger holding hands with the boys, but my phone was set to video...so I am trying to make a pic out of a 2 second video. :-)

Watch This!

We made a trip to the pool today. The weather finally cooled down enough that I thought we wouldn't melt in the sun. Plus it was a bit cloudy so I figured it might not be too crowded. When we got there we were the only ones in the baby pool for about 20 minutes...always nice. The boys had a great time jumping in the water and running trucks along the sides. Grant has really begun to want to swim correctly and is always practicing his kicking and "big arms." Beckett is kind of starting to want to swim, but he still prefers just being crazy by jump jump jumping into the water.

Touch A Truck!

What better way to begin our blog than to talk about our morning! We went to Touch A Truck - an event put on by one of the local Parks and Rec programs. Unfortunately, in usual form, I got lost on the way there, so there were already lines at every truck. (Next year mom promised to plan better and to get better directions.) The kids persevered and waited patiently in the 85+ degree heat to climb into some of their favorite trucks - garbage trucks, a mail truck, snow plows, tractors, and a HUGE fire truck. There was even a party bus and a "chicken limo." The boys had a great time. Unfortunately it was so hot that we left after only an hour and had to miss the ambulance and rescue helicopter. We were asked to vote on the way out and both kids said their favorite truck was the fire truck - really was amazing to see the height of the ladder and the length of the truck.
We hit up a local park on the way home and the kids splashed around in the creek. And of course, a few rocks were thrown into the water as well. :-)

Grant waiting patiently to climb up in the fire truck.

Both kids melting in the hot sun and their silly fire hats.

Go Grant Go!

Brrm, Brrm!

Is this how you do it?

Oh, OK...here we go! Hold tight!

Thanks for the help Mr. Fireman!

Look at that rock go!

I promise Beckett was not hurt in the taking of this photo! :-)

Ready, Set, GO!

When I asked Roger about a blog he said sure...just make sure it's secure. Then about 1 minute later he said, wait I know something better (of course). After sketching out this elaborate website with music, different "rooms" and avatars, I asked, where is the blog? He pointed out one of the many pictures. Well, that was about a week ago and with no elaborate website in hand, I am going to start this much more basic blog.
So here we go. I hope that this blog enables our loved ones far away to feel more apart of our lives. We go to the park and pool a lot, but everyday there are funny things said and sometimes the most comical things happen in our living room or at the dinner table.
